Unlock Knowledge The University of Luxembourg Competence Centre is the lifelong training and continuing education centre in Luxembourg. Based in the heart of the Belval Campus (University of Luxembourg) in Esch-sur-Alzette, the Competence Centre develops and organizes university quality adult training programmes that meet the needs of the Luxembourgish labour market. Experience meets expertise Created in October 2018 as the result of a transformation of the former Institut Universitaire International Luxembourg (IUIL), the Competence Centre builds upon a more than two decades long experience in the adult training sector, always working with strong partners and renowned experts. Close collaboration with the University of Luxembourg The Competence Centre has access to the University high-end state-of-the-art facilities (Luxembourg Learning Centre, User Lab, C-Lab…) as well as to its faculty, thus taking advantage of their expertise to ensure the quality of the training programmes. Continue learning As a consequence, this new Competence Centre unites the academic strengths of the University with the adult teaching know-how of the former IUIL. Its main activities revolve around innovation and learning, including digital skills and smart ICT. Its mission is to constantly evolve and develop, offer and manage adult training programmes in different areas focussing on the use of new technologies and methodologies. All trainings are held by experts in their field, recruited with scrutiny and, if need be, aligned with the education philosophy of the Competence Centre and the high standard requirements of academic training.
