METfilter was founded by a biotechnologist entrepeneur and two prestigious research institutions (IMDEA Water and CENTA Foundation) for developing METland® technology, an eco-friendly solution to clean up either urban or industrial wastewater at zero-energy cost by using fascinating microorganisms capable of converting pollutants into electrical current. Our solution also includes the use of plants that converts a sewage treatment device into a gardening landscape.
