Food Security supports its members, Belgian companies in the food sector, with incident and crisis management. This support ranges from preparation and action-reaction to a crisis (round the clock), to sharing expertise. Food Security is an independent non-profit organisation established in 1986 on the initiative of a number of managers within the Belgian food industry. Food Security became independent in 1995. Before that, it was part of FEVIA (the Belgian Food Industry Federation). Today, over 80 companies are members of Food Security.
