Max Thorpe & Dave Spelman Resilient:X is two-person high-performance team rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in December 2019 in the "toughest race on earth" - a 3000, 40-90 day journey from the Canaries to Antigua. After Max almost lost his life in his first attempt in 2017 - widely regarded as one of the most perilous experiences in the history of ocean sport - he faced a uncharted period of self-reflection and made the tough decision to go back and take it on again. Showing equal bravery himself, Dave made the decision to join him. This time there is no blissful ignorance, only real first-hand experience of the immense dangers this challenge, and the Atlantic Ocean, holds. Resilient:X was built through a combination of Max's experiences developing human resilience and Dave's expertise in strategy consulting, alongside the global trends and pressures, to represented an aligned set of beliefs focused around resilience.
