The Ad Council is a nonprofit organization that works with other nonprofits to help them succeed in serving our community through increasing knowledge and skill levels in marketing, advertising, strategic planning and behavior change efforts. We began in 1950 and have worked on nearly every type of issue, ranging from hunger to blood donation to senior services. Some of our more recent issues include a program addressing childhood lead poisoning, one reducing water pollution, another on distracted driving, and prevention and education of child sexual abuse, to name just a few. We work with an average of 200 nonprofit organizations a year.
