The Double Hit Lymphoma Foundation

www.tdhlf.org

The Double Hit Lymphoma Foundation was established in October 2013 to ensure people who are impacted by this type of cancer have easy access to the information and resources they need. The Foundation is led by people who've been through it, as patients, caregivers, clinicians and friends. Our mission is to: -- Increase awareness of double hit lymphoma -- Provide information, tools and connections that make double hit lymphoma more manageable, with fewer surprises and unknowns -- Raise funds for double hit lymphoma research There's still a lot to learn about double hit, triple hit, and other MYC-related lymphomas. But, the current thinking is that they occur when a specific chromosome rearranges itself. This rearrangement jump starts cancer genes. Generally, these lymphomas are aggressive, developing rapidly and requiring early treatment. Treatment of MYC-related lymphomas, including double-hit lymphoma, usually involves high-dose chemotherapy and, frequently, stem cell transplantation and radiation. We serve as a resource from diagnosis through treatment to survivorship and are committed to growing based on the needs of those impacted by double hit lymphoma.
