With purpose-built facilities in Birmingham & Dudley, LEMA can cater for the wider West Midlands region and in 2017 were awarded a direct funding contract for all Levy and non-Levy delivery as part of the governments overall apprenticeship reforms. The West Midlands is still at the heart of the UK Engineering sector and we need to ensure that we have the skills required to benefit from the opportunities that lie ahead. LEMA recognise the importance of employing the right person for your business and our selection procedure is extensive. We start by working with you to gain a thorough understanding of your business needs. We select and interview young people on character, personality and commitment and good standards of education. LEMA provides a fresh and invigorating approach to recruiting young people. We give them skills that go beyond the requirements of the apprenticeship and the qualifications making them both an asset to your business today and the key to your future success. Duration: Up to 12 months. During stage 1 of the Advanced Apprenticeship Apprentices will be given guidance on the variety of engineering routes such as electronic, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic disciplines they may wish to pursue. TRAINING: There is no cost to you for the training, support and mentoring your apprentice receives. In addition, LEMA will cover the cost of all exam fees with the relevant awarding body and ensure that all applicable funding/grants are made available to you, the employer.
