ADDAPT
www.addaptny.orgADDAPT was formed in 1991 as a response to significant reductions in defense spending by the Federal Government. It was originally organized as an alliance of technology based aerospace and defense companies located throughout the state of New York. The mission was to promote the interests of New York companies adversely affected by the resulting consolidations among “Prime” contractors and the corresponding downsizing throughout the aerospace and defense industry. From 1996 through 2011, through support from the New York State Legislature, ADDAPT was able to facilitate over $3,900,000 of financial incentives to our member companies in the following areas: Research and development Industrial effectiveness International trade and marketing Industry specific employee training programs Low cost financing of loans of capital equipment and facilities. ADDAPT was also instrumental in obtaining a combination of Federal, State and Suffolk County funding of $7.8 million to establish an advanced manufacturing training facility on Long Island. In 2013, the ADDAPT Board of Directors sought to revitalize the organization by naming Jamie L. Moore as the new Chairman and President. Over $4,000,000 was generated for ADDAPT members in 2013 through financial incentives from New York State for attending the Paris Air Show, Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program, and the NYS Department of Labor training funds.
