As of December 9, 2013, Upper Chesapeake Health became University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health. The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) and the Board of Directors of UCH announced that the merger of the two-hospital system into UMMS had been completed. UM UCH's two hospitals are now University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital (UM HMH) and University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center (UM UCMC).
