Company History In 1998, a small team of employees working for Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines decided to form their own IT & Networking business in response to the impending privatisation of the mining conglomerate. Numbering 16 in total and led by a group of six promoters and supported by Cavmont Securities the investment arm of a Zambian Bank, the company finally began operations in August 1999, as Next Millennia Corporation, a name which would later be changed to CopperNET Solutions after the brand name of the Internet Service which the company had run even under ZCCM. Company Overview CopperNET Solutions is an Internet Service Provider which provides Data Transit services for inter-office connectivity such as MPLS VPN, Fixed Telephone Line Services and has a Software Development Division.
