TOGA clinical trials often utilise treatments not yet part of national healthcare reimbursement programs, expanding the affordable treatment options that can be offered throughout Australia and New Zealand and answering the questions that confront everyday treatment of thoracic cancers. With a mission to prevent, treat and cure thoracic cancers through research, clinical trials, education and advocacy, TOGA exemplifies the successful integration between research, optimal healthcare and what matters to patients, through: • collaborative critique of proposed clinical trial designs; • education and advocacy for cutting-edge advances in thoracic cancer treatments; • mentorship of clinicians who strive to improve outcomes for people with thoracic cancers through clinical research Our charitable donations and fundraising programs support clinical trial activities which help to discover better ways to diagnose, treat and support people with lung cancer. Our strategic plan for 2022-2025 is centred around building capacity, collaborations and a sustainable organisation to help realise our mission.
