F1RST SURF SHOP opened its doors in August 2008. Owners Mark Gamez and Christian De La Iglesia both Miami natives and avid surfers since the mid-eighties and extensive backgrounds in the surf and skate industries opened F1RST in 2008. Offering a boutique surf shop experience without losing the core value of a well trained and knowledgable staff. Christian and Mark decided the time was right to offer the locals and tourists a different shopping experience from the run-of the mill surf shop. F1RST SURF SHOP relocated in the summer of 2010 to the corner of South Pointe and Ocean Drive at the Continuum, located less than 50 footsteps from the sandy beachs of MIami.
