Cross Works (XW) is built on a foundation of experience gained across decades of work in practice from it's MD and it's team. The collective is made up of professionals and unique specialists who have come together to provide efficient, client-focussed solutions to real world problems. The Founder & Managing Director spent nearly two decades in architecture, urban design and multi-disciplinary consultancies, in both London and Istanbul, building and leading sectors and design teams. The firm's genesis is based on this knowledge gained through a wide range of experiences on a multitude of project scales, types and geographies. XW’s objective is to be more agile and responsive to client needs; to be able to select and curate the best-in-class collaborators with whom to create project specific teams, and to be able to choose the projects that will have genuine positive impact on the future. At the larger scale, the firm is also founded in response to some of the grander pressures of our time. Our most prevalent challenges will be solved by how we better shape our natural and physical environment at all scales and localities. How our cities better accommodate our human needs whilst being respectful and symbiotic with our natural environment will be crucial to our future prosperity. It is our prerogative to ensure that we're making efforts to enable our projects to be more sustainable and future-proofed; in achieving this goal, we believe cross-disciplinary working has never been more important. As architects, urban designers, city planners and GIS specialists, we’re currently active on a number of large and giga-scale projects, from national and city-scale masterplans through to 1m+ sq/ft mixed-use architectural developments.
