Portanova is the only regional shopping center in eastern Croatia according to the International Council of Shopping Centers. Portanova is Osijek's newest and most exciting shopping destination. There are two floors of shopping units which include more than 100 brand names, a hypermarket, entertainment venues plus numerous restaurants and cafes and plenty of car parking spaces. Portanova will offer all this with a single goal – to satisfy all the needs and wishes of the consumers of the city of Osijek, the surroundings and region, also of the broader area of Croatia that gravitates towards Osijek and that of the neighboring countries: Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary. Portanova rises at the western entrance to the city of Osijek. Portanova or “new door” is a term that is conceptually based on the characteristics of the local environment. The idea is to create an entirely new entrance to the city, but also the entrance to a new world of friendship, fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
