Keimyung University has grown and developed along with the modernization of Korea. The University began with the opening of Jaejung-won in 1899, a small hospital that later became the present Dongsan Medical Center, and then an institution of undergraduate education was established in 1954. Thus, 2014 marks the 60th Whan-gab Jubilee of the four-year college education and, at the same time, the 115th Anniversary of the entire Keimyung University, including the Medical Center.
