STPI - Software Technology Parks of India is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, established in 1991, with a mandate to promote software exports from the country. Today, with 11 jurisdictional directorates and 63 centers, of which 55 centres are in Tier II & Tier III cities, STPI has expanded its presence across the country. STPI has ensured the growth of software exports and generated employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. STPI facilitates IT/ITES/ESDM industry by providing single window clearance services, world-class internet connectivity, state-of-the-art incubation & other infrastructure services, which aim to encourage, promote, and boost software exports. To strengthen the tech startup ecosystem in the country, STPI has launched 20 Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) in emerging technology domains such as IoT, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision, Augmented & Virtual Reality, Gaming, Animation & Visual Effects, Data Science & Analytics, FinTech, AgriTech, MedTech, Autonomous Connected Electric & Shared (ACES) Mobility, ESDM, Industry 4.0, Drone, and Efficiency Augmentation. STPI has also implemented Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS) in 12 Tier II locations across India viz. Agartala, Bhilai, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Guwahati, Jaipur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Mohali, Patna, and Vijayawada to realize the vision of National Policy on Software Products (NPSP).
