The School of Public Policy was created in 2009 by the order of Vladimir Mau, Rector of the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation. It was originally known as the Department of Public Administration and in the same year admitted its first students to the undergraduate program of Management in Public Administration. In 2012 the Institute for Public Policy and Applied Humanities Research created and admitted students to a band new program based on the principles and standards of Liberal Arts. Today the Liberal Arts program at the School of Public Policy consists of the following majors and minors On January 1st, 2013, the Institute for Public Policy and Applied Humanities Research was renamed to the Department of Public Policy and in the summer of 2013 the Departments of Philosophy and Sociology were placed under its supervision. In August 2014 the Department of Public Policy was reorganized into the School of Public Policy. Currently the School of Public Policy consists of the following departments: - Department of Liberal Arts - Department of Public Administration - Department of Philosophy and Sociology - Department of Design - Department of History - Department of Psychology - Department of International Educational Programs The School of Public Policy is the only subdivision of RANEPA to offer several international Master’s programs, taught entirely in English: - Change Management - Global Public Policy - Global Finance - International Business - Project Management Students also have access to multiple exchange and internship opportunities. The School is constantly working to launch a new master's degree programs, expand the options of education courses, and create new forms of extracurricular student life.
