We are committed to providing nutritious foods for companion animals whether they are dogs, cats, small mammals, birds, or fish. We offer premium, holistic, organic and raw foods for this reason. We also offer a local store-to-door delivery service in the Washington DC and Maryland area. Many items not available in store can be ordered for delivery and in-store pickup. Since opening The Big Bad Woof® flagship store in March of 2005, response from the pet community has been enthusiastic. The Big Bad Woof® in Takoma DC was named one of the areas best pet supply store in Washingtonian Magazine February 2006 & 2008 Pet Issues. The store is regularly featured in the Washington Post Sunday Source Best Picks section. The Big Bad Woof is 100% wind-powered and utilizes 'green' cleaning products, recycles paper, plastic and glass, and makes decisions based on the carbon footprint not on the bottom line.
