Glimpse is a nonprofit supported in part by National Geographic Society that offers you a platform to develop and share your stories of real life abroad––interesting stories, surprising stories, stories that make you think. Glimpse is a user-generated, professionally edited website: Our stories, photos, tips, and blogs are created by talented people living all over the globe. We work with storytellers to develop feature stories, giving aspiring writers and photographers the chance to experience a professional editorial process and hone their storytelling skills. We envision a world in which all young people go abroad, seek out meaningful cultural experiences, and share their stories with peers. We believe that powerful stories will inspire new generations to engage with people from other cultures and to be responsible global citizens. Our mission is to encourage young people to care about other cultures, change the way they think about the overseas experience, and challenge them to explore real life abroad.
