SOFAM is a collective authors' rights association for visual artists in Belgium. Our independence enables us to tailor our services and better manage and protect the visual rights of artists. SOFAM was founded in 1979 by a group of photographers and it is still governed by its artist members today. SOFAM now has 5200+ members, representing the interests of painters, sculptors, photographers, press photographers, illustrators, cartoonists, draughtsmen, comic book illustrators, graphic and infographic designers, fashion and textile designers, architects, directors, cameramen, printers....among others. SOFAM defends artists' rights on a national and international level.
