BCDP is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation established in 2015. It consists of a multidisciplinary team of dedicated men and women from diverse fields of interest including health, business, research, the civil service, academic, politics, policy, journalists, faith and legal background. We are passionate in working together to build the knowledge base and improve the policy environment for advancing community development in Bolton and Greater Manchester in general. We aim to provide critical data for developing policies and programs for scaling up best practices relating to community development along with providing support needed to engage with communities and to realize their aspirations. We are focused on utilizing the asset based community-lead development approach (ABCD) in engaging our communities. We use the results of our research to build public health awareness and advocate for policy changes about critical community development issues in Bolton and Greater Manchester in general.
