Hi there, we’re the team behind CHKN Not Chicken! We have a secret to share—we love a good piece of meat every now and again (bacon, we’re looking at you!). But for a variety of reasons we each made a personal decision that we wanted (or needed) to eat less meat. We had most of the usual reasons: cut back on fat and calories, reduce our footprint on the environment, lose a little weight, and we felt increasingly guilty about shielding our eyes from those documentaries about how meat is ACTUALLY made. But we also had one other thing in common—we weren’t all that excited to give up meat. Most of the products out there either tasted terrible, took way too much time to prepare, weren’t any better for you than the meat we wanted to avoid, or were the result of a science experiment. So, we decided we would make a product that would make it easier to eat less meat and CHKN Not Chicken was born!
