Eres is a young not-for-profit based in Puerto Rico whose mission is to ensure that people have greater well-being by freeing their creativity from those invisible chains that frustrate its natural expression. We currently offer drawing workshops to unlock the creative power of people who thought they had none. Realistic drawing has been our starting point and key tool to shake the ordinary perception of our participants and to teach them to see things from another perspective. With the practice of drawing, we have been teaching active meditation, leading our students into other states of consciousness that induce the mind and body into a state of deep relaxation. Although not all creative activities are art, Eres is a firm believer that exposure to art awakens us, encourages us to raise new questions and possibilities, opening new paths of compassion and interests. On occasions serving as a pop-up art gallery, Eres is a convening space where people from different backgrounds can share and continue to expand their horizons by appreciating and embodying art.
