Born on January 29th, fashion is innate for Andrew Raphael Morel. His career began within the shoe retail business, where he quickly grew through the managerial ranks. This led him to his first opportunity to show-off his keen eye for fashion as a Visual Merchandiser for Steve Madden. It all skyrocketed from there and after working for brands like Saks Fifth Avenue, Ralph Lauren, Canali, Aldo and Sketchers among others, a little bit less than a decade later in fashion Andrew is immersed in the custom suiting industry. Andrew’s inspiration behind Andrew Raphael Bespoke was his father, Rafael Morel, a classic man who wore his elegant Canali and Ermenegildo Zegna suits daily when going to his business meetings and affairs. His father walked into a room with such an overwhelming presence that he saturated any place. He was a carpenter by trade and everywhere he went he made a statement in terms of what he was wearing. The most effortless outfit you would see ‘Rafelo’ in would be a pair of trousers and a polo complemented with any of his signature shoes. Andrew turned that swagger into his business. He started visiting stores in the city, feeling the fabrics, questioning the differences, nurturing his niche, “what is real? what is not? what is this?” he was committed and “everyday I took it as a stepping stone.” Within just two years in the industry, Andrew services close to 480 clients within the New York Metropolitan area and continues to grow. His success is due to his deeply perceptive eye and knowledge in menswear, as well as Andrew’s immense attention to detail. Today Andrew Raphael Bespoke provides a spectacular experience to its clients, as well as, unique bespoke garments, “we are expanding into other categories as we expand the business.” This is only the beginning.
