LIVES
www.lives.org.ukIn a medical emergency, every minute counts in getting vital first medical treatment to the patient as quickly as possible. What happens in those first golden minutes can make all the difference to a patient’s life. LIVES is the Lincolnshire charity with 700 highly trained volunteers who respond to 999 medical emergencies in their community right across the county. We get to our neighbours within minutes to deliver vital and often life-saving immediate medical treatment in those critical first moments following an emergency. This year our responders will help more than 20,000 Lincolnshire people in their time of greatest need, dealing with incidents ranging from falls to serious road traffic collisions, chest pains to cardiac arrest. Each year we have to raise just over £1 million from individuals and businesses to keep our responders on the road. One key way we do this is providing first class first aid training to businesses. Not only does this allow businesses to directly give back to their local community in a cost-effective way, it ensures staff are provided with vital life-saving skills, taught by our very own responders or health care professionals who use these skills day in day out. We don’t just train you to pass the qualification, we teach you to save a life. We are a fully regulated first aid training provider and our trainers are regularly assessed to ensure that our training is delivered to the highest standard. Each year we provide training for hundreds of business employees and healthcare students.
