TrustyTrunks
www.trustytrunks.comTrustyTrunks, based in Denver, Colorado, was founded in 2018. Our grand vision is to change national cultures so that peeing in the pool just isn’t done, starting with infant and toddler swimwear. TrustyTrunks was started when our founder took her young grandsons to the neighborhood pool on a scorching-hot day, one in a shockingly leaky swim diaper. Thankfully, there were no accidents that day (that could be seen.) Her first action was an internet search for a leakproof, water tight version, but found it didn’t exist. When she saw there was a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website page for swim diapers and swim pants which stated, “…swim diapers do not keep these germs from contaminating the water. No manufacturers claim these products prevent leakage of diarrhea into pools.” She decided to create something. With her in-born entrepreneurial spirit, and a vision to reduce infant-prone pool contaminations, she started with two solo cups and some plaster to create the first prototype of what would become TrustyTrunks. On the road to realizing the ultimate vision, we promote cleaner, safer recreational water, save kids and their parents from embarrassing contamination accidents, and keep the pool open. Test production runs are currently underway, we anticipate product available for sale in October, 2019.
