Sparks India has been active since 2019 in organising awareness campaigns, skill development programmes for rural women and also helped women in setting up micro businesses. Going forward, we are focusing on our flagship programme, Sakhi. Through Sakhi, we aim to empower young girls in small towns and rural India. Sakhi enables educated and accomplished women to virtually adopt a girl and guide her in ways that leads to her social and psychological freedom. We want to make sure that these girls are not conditioned to feel inferior, something that is quite common in small cities. We urge every empowered woman to take charge in shaping how these young girls see themselves and build a future filled with audacious women who change the world.
