She Drew That is a community of women in the animation industry. Our aim is to develop female-identifying freelancers’ skills and connect them with people in the industry to help their employability and hopefully go some way to narrowing the gender gap we see within the animation industry. By creating a community where we can support each other, we hope to become stronger together. Since April 2019 our program has expanded beyond monthly workshops, and we are proud to be developing a residency program for women within the Animation Industry. The aim of the She Drew That Residency is to generate more female directors in the animation industry to address a notable gender gap at this level.
