Founded in 2006, MigraMar is a network of scientists working on research and conservation of migratory marine species in the region of the Eastern Pacific. Its goal is to implement effective plans for management and conservation that are in keeping with the nature of these creatures. MigraMar has transitioned from a 10-year established informal network to a new nonprofit structure incorporated in the United States in September 2017 – 501(c)3 status, and implementing projects from Costa Rica where the organization is also legally established.
