Co Occupational Medical Partners was established in early 2012 when St. Joseph's Medical Center transitioned its Occupational Medicine practice to Johnston Co, M.D., MPH. Dr. Co had worked for St. Joseph's as medical director for Occupational Medicine for six years before assuming ownership of the practice (dba: Co Occupational Medical Partners). While at St. Joseph's, Dr. Co became well-known and respected among employers of all size and industry throughout San Joaquin County. During that time, he also earned the confidence of workers' compensation adjusters who learned to trust his medical skills and effective medical management of injuries. C.O.M.P. does not provide any private healthcare service. Its single focus is to support employees and the business community by providing quality healthcare services that help injured employees get back to work while giving employers the tools they need to maintain a safe, healthy and productive business. Dr. Co is Board Eligible in Occupational and Environmental Medicine and has earned a Masters in Public Health. He is certified as a Medical Review Officer (MRO) and is listed in the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners for the Department of Transportation's medical certification program for drivers.
