Tenerife Horse Rescue is a fully registered, NGO charity founded in 2018. We provide a safe space for rehabilitation or retirement of animals who have come to us after being abandoned, or rescued from abuse or neglect. Entirely ran by volunteers, we originally opened as a Horse charity, however it soon became clear to us that there were so many more animals on the Island of Tenerife that needed saving. From goats to ferrets, and dogs to donkeys, each of our 'animal refugees' find their place in our Noah's Arc, where they can be rehabilitated and readopted to new forever homes, or simply live out the rest of their days here in peace. Tenerife Horse Rescue is an eco-sanctuary, passionate about sustainability and reducing waste, with a 'freegan' diet, and building from all recycled materials. We also provide luxury retreats for 4 people at a time in our glamping yurt for those wanting to experience life on the finca in style.
