lala.ruhr is dedicated to an integrated view of the transformation of the urban landscape of the Ruhr Metropolis, in which people, buildings and landscape offer a high quality of life in a symbiotic, resilient and sustainable way. We offer a laboratory space in which ideas and innovative concepts for the future of the Ruhr Metropolis are discussed and developed under the vision of a productive landscape. We promote the exchange across geographical and intellectual borders. We bundle and network the region's potential in an international context. lala.ruhr connects places, people and their interest in a high-quality design of their build environment as an urban, productive landscape. In this way we accompany the themes of the ‘Green Decade’ and the ‘IGA2027’ in various formats and projects in an interdisciplinary, discursive and pragmatic way. We seek to develop and arrange the International Biennial of Landscape Architecture in the Ruhr Metropolis in a broad cooperation. #thinklandscape
