Action for Carers Surrey provides advice, information, advocacy and support to all carers, across Surrey. Our help covers practical, legal, financial and emotional matters, and we aim to support the 110,000 carers of all ages who live in the county. We also help carers to use their voices and experiences to improve the lives of other carers, locally and nationally. Our support includes tailored services: Surrey Young Carers (for those under 18); staff working in Surrey's main hospitals to help carers there; and specialised support in Moving and Handling. A carer is anyone who cares, unpaid, for a friend or family member who - due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction - cannot cope without their support.
