Longhorn Helicopters Inc. is located at the Denton Municipal Airport, (KDTO), in Denton TX. Just 30 minutes north of Dallas, Ft Worth. After merging with US Aviation Academy we operate eight well maintained Schweizer 300C training helicopters and two Bell 206 BIII, Jet Rangers and one Robinson R-22. Our partnership with US Aviation Academy has allowed Longhorn Helicopters to expand operations and take advantage of each company's unique expertise. Longhorn Helicopter continues to provide excellent helicopter training as US Aviation's rotorcraft division while also expanding our international and domestic services. Helicopter Training We offer Flight Training packages for Private Pilot through ATP Certification, Night Vision Goggle Training, Aerial Photography, Pipeline/Powerline Surveillance, External Load Operations, Charter and Helicopter Rentals. We have eight experienced flight instructors and an on staff DPE focused on helping you achieve your aviation goals. Helicopter Maintenance Here at Longhorn Helicopters Maintenance is something we take very seriously. With six on staff A&P mechanics you can rest assured the aircraft are in their best condition at all times. Also should a maintenance issue arise the aircraft is usually back flying the same day, saving you valuable down time.
