The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences provides simulation and exploratory learning. We offer Higher Education and Continuous Professional Development courses in a variety of health, life science and social science subjects. Centrally situated, we are ideally placed for both students and the wide variety of placement providers who work with us. Our students and staff are innovative and resourceful, building the skills and resilience needed to continually adapt to and advance the challenges within their field. Our brand new Science and Health Building is a state of the art teaching facility for many of our courses. It provides hospital and rehabilitation simulation, clinical skills training, sport and exercise environments, a Biosciences super-lab and a range of life sciences research facilities. The Faculty is comprised of three Schools: - School of Life Sciences - School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health - School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences We also have a reputation for continuous ground-breaking research, which is often used to enhance and influence teaching. Our three research centres are: - Centre for Advances in Behavioral Science (CABS) - Centre for Innovative Research Across the Life Course (CIRAL) - Centre for Sports, Exercise and Life Science) We are home to one of the largest selections of forward thinking vocational health and social care courses in the Midlands. Courses are highly regarded and rank well in many of the university guides.
