Windseeker organizes bookings on international training journeys- and races on big sailing vessels called ‘Tall Ships’. Our most important target group is youngsters from 15 to 25 years old as we follow the concept of the worldwide ‘Sail Training International’ organization: let youngsters experience how great sailing with a tall ship is. It builds and enhances a great number of personal and collective qualities: team cooperation, taking responsibility for the ship and each other and making (international) friendships. Trainees will experience hands-on that these are all important factors to reach the destination on a big, complex ship with hundreds of ropes and a multitude of sails. Windseeker acts as a facilitator and important gangway between youngsters and the international fleet of training vessels. We coordinate with governments, private funds and companies to provide bursaries and sponsoring to youngsters to make the sailing trips affordable. It’s our mission to give as much young people as possible the experience that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. Furthermore, Windseeker helps trainees with all their preparations fort heir journey such as additional sponsoring, transfer flights, visa, insurance, pack-lists etc. Windseeker is operated by group of enthusiastic people who sailed, or still sail on, training Tall Ships.
