Let's Empower, Advocate, and Do, Inc. (LEAD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation with a mission is to provide students, educators and organizations with curriculum and training to promote mental health education and adolescent wellbeing. In pursuit of this mission, LEAD developed an innovative health education curriculum to improve student wellness, academic performance and early intervention for mental illness in school districts. Our vision is to redefine health education by emphasizing the link between physical and mental health nationwide. Our programs empower youth to utilize self-care and coping strategies, help educators understand stigmas and barriers faced by students who suffer from mental illness, and encourage youth to seek treatment before experiencing crisis. 70% of adolescents suffering from mental illness FAIL to receive treatment; we intend to change this number!
