PhosCo aims to become a leading producer of sustainable fertiliser by developing the world class Chaketma Phosphate Deposit in Tunisia employing local people and attracting international funding. Phosphate is a critical commodity used to create fertilisers, and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries. It is therefore essential to ensuring global food security and will play a key role in the electrification of the world. Listed on the ASX (ticker:PHO), PhosCo has a 50.99% interest in Chaketma, a potential large-scale, world-class phosphate development asset containing a JORC compliant Resource of 146Mt @ 20.6% P₂O₅. A scoping study announced in December 2022 has demonstrated outstanding economics, confirming an initial mine life of 46 years producing 1.5Mt per annum high quality phosphate concentrate at Chaketma. Chaketma is located close to all necessary infrastructure, including power, gas, rail and road. It is just 35km from the nearest railhead which connects to the Port of Goulette/Rades for export.
