Buses permeate every sector of modern life. Buses are the ubiquitous means of transport across every city, town and village. Servicing mostly the disadvantaged, students, and the elderly, buses remain the vital transport resource that keep modern communities moving. Therein lies the problem. More than 97 per cent of the world’s five million buses are diesel. Buses are among the highest contributors of CO2 and particulate matter to urban environments, directly impacting the health and well-being of our most vulnerable, not to mention the planet. Kleanbus is on a mission to dismantle the world’s addiction to diesel. We strive to address the social injustice of diesel fumes impacting poor communities, and the drivers subjected to ten times the pollution levels inside the bus.
