Quincy 2000 has a long history of fostering small business growth and development through a variety of programs and services in the City of Quincy. Programs consist of one-on-one technical assistance to start-up and expanding businesses; educational workshops and forums; business plan development; business financing; site finder services; permitting and licensing assistance; peer-to-peer support programs; networking opportunities; façade and signage improvement programs; business district planning and revitalization initiatives; co-operative marketing and advertising programs; and a variety of associated services and resources to support the ever-growing and diverse City of Quincy business community. Since the organization's inception, Quincy 2000 has created and retained hundreds of jobs; loaned over 5.6 million to Quincy businesses through the Quincy 2000 Loan Pool and Quincy 2000 CDBG Revolving Loan Fund; leveraged $4.4 million in private investment for exterior commercial building renovations; and provided assistance to countless individuals and businesses through technical assistance programs and services. Also within the Quincy 2000 Program of Work is the administration of local and regional marketing initiatives designed to promote and attract economic investment and businesses to the City of Quincy. The Quincy 2000 Collaborative (Quincy 2000) is a 501c(3) non-profit economic development organization, established in 1992.
