The company was initiated by the Late Shri Ghasitaramdas Bajaj in Karachi, Pakistan, and hence the name GHASITARAM. After the partition of 1947, his son Shri Goverdhandas Bajaj left the sprawling business setup behind and moved with merely basic wares to earn his daily livelihood to the upcoming city of Bombay. Since then, under the able guidance of Mr. Vippan Bajaj, the firm has grown into its present setup of sprawling factory premises at Mahim, over 10 retail outlets in the city, and exports to various nations around the world. The enterprise is now managed by Mr. Vippan Bajaj and his sons, Mr. Kunal Bajaj and Mr. Rahul Bajaj.
