I provide code related services based on the International and California Codes. I specialize in developing code revisions to the IBC, IRC, CBC and CRC. I also provide litigation support through expert witness services and pre-litigation code advice. As the former ICC Vice President of Architectural and Engineering Services and ICBO Technical Services Manager, I have many years of experience in the code development process and understand the intent/background of the ICC and ICBO codes. I was the orginal drafting secretariat to the 2000 International Residential Code for One and Two Family Dwellings. I also have worked in the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety and provided assistance to many other jurisdictions, so I understand many of the issues that result in the application of codes and standards.
