A 501c3, non-denominational para-church ministry, The One Roof Initiative’s vision is to connect those impacted by disability, individuals and their families, to help and hope. This vision will be realized by the establishment of a hub in our area serving the disability community spiritually, practically, and socially by engaging the local Church, individuals, and leveraging the resources of the community through academia, medicine, social services and more. The One Roof aims to educate and equip the Church so it can more extensively and effectively open its doors to this community and to mobilize it to help meet the broad scope of needs inherent within it. With a training and equipping team of experienced disability ministry leaders, The One Roof will come alongside church staff and laity to prepare and inspire churches how to fully welcome those with disabilities into their congregations. By forging creative community collaborations, The One Roof envisions amplifying the missional outreach of the Church “beyond Sunday mornings” to help address the many, practical “Monday through Saturday” challenges lived out by those in the disability community. The One Roof Initiative is very grateful to The Underground Network as its ministry "home". The Underground, based in Ybor City, Tampa, exists to mobilize, resource and empower ministries to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to our city and beyond.
