Durham Fire & Rescue is a combination per diem and volunteer paid-on-call fire and rescue service. Our membership responds to approximately 350 calls for service annually, varying in type and severity. We respond to all forms of fire suppression, motor vehicle, and medical emergencies one can imagine with a unique and dedicated group of per diems and volunteer members. We utilize six apparatuses, including a 105' Quint aerial ladder, two class A pumpers, a 2250 gallon pumper tanker, a forestry unit, and an ambulance equipped to the paramedic level.
