New Zealand Qualifications Authority | Mana Tohu Mātauranga o Aotearoa
www.nzqa.govt.nzThe New Zealand Qualifications Authority - Mana Tohu Mātauranga o Aotearoa (NZQA) is responsible for ensuring that New Zealand qualifications are accepted as credible and robust, nationally and internationally. Our work with qualifications and micro-credentials helps people show potential employers what they know, and what they can do. Our role includes: - managing the New Zealand Qualifications Framework - administering the NCEA secondary school assessment system - conducting independent quality assurance of non-university tertiary education providers - undertaking qualifications recognition and standard-setting for some specified unit standards. We also help people to have certain types of qualifications recognised internationally. This means people with New Zealand diplomas, degrees and other qualifications can work overseas, and skilled people from other countries can have their qualifications recognised in New Zealand. NZQA's vision is to help people "Qualify for the Future World: Kia noho takatū ki tō āmua ao", with two focus areas: - Equity of access to qualifications supports intergenerational wellbeing - New Zealand qualifications enable lifelong learning For information about how we use LinkedIn, please see the Social Media Terms of Use on our website.
