Northwest Computer Museum which will incorporate Workshops and training facilities. The Museum will provide the following facilities: • Computer & Internet Museum Use Computers from the 70s to date & history of the internet • Access to Information Technology facilities and training. • Community café/ tea rooms at peak school holidays and weekends. • Workshops/ community classes and clubs. • Annual programme of events in the museum. The museum will be a facility for the whole of the Northwest area. The Museum is to be located in Wigan, Premises to be announced. Aims & Objectives We believe the Computer & Internet Museum will meet the following Aims and Objectives: • Provide vital IT Skills • Support the education of local people. • A sense of belonging for the Community. • Promoting links to other social groups and strengthen our community. • Provide opportunities to increase community led activities. Through providing: - • By providing education, training and work experience opportunities. • By providing local facilities and events for all the community • By creating a meeting point at the community café. • Workshops, classes and clubs that are inclusive for all the Community. • Volunteering and job opportunities. • Book Swap facility.
