Formed in 1992, Contemporary Housing Alternatives of Florida, Inc. has made significant progress toward its goal of providing affordable housing for low and moderate income individuals and families. CHAF has been designated a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) by the Community Development and Housing Division of Pinellas County for development of affordable rental units in mid-Pinellas County. CHAF currently has 555 units occupied or in various phases of development or rehabilitation with several new projects in the acquisition or planning stage. CHAF owns and manages all of their own properties. CHAF is a growing team that consists of Property Managers, Maintenance Technicians, Executive Management & Corporate Administration that ensures a seamless operation.
