The Biomechanics and Impact Mechanics Laboratory (LBMC UMR_T9406) is a Joint Research Unit between Université Gustave Eiffel and the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. Le Laboratoire de Biomécanique et Mécanique des Chocs (LBMC UMR_T9406) est une unité mixte de recherche entre l’Université Gustave Eiffel et l’Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. LBMC is a member of the Equipment of Excellence (EquipEx) “Engineering and aging of living tissues”, IVTV and a member of the Laboratories of Excellence (LabEx) “Physics, Radiobiology, Medical Imaging, and Simulation», PRIMES and « Intelligences of Urban Worlds » - IMU . In recent years, LBMC has been involved in several European projects (among them the LBMC has coordinated FP5 HUMOS2, FP6 Aprosys (Sub-project Biomechanics), FP7 DHErgo , and FP7 PIPER projects) and international projects (e.g. GHBMC ). The LBMC is also involved in the international network VPH Institute and the inter-university center BOHNES . To perform its scientific program, the LBMC is organized in four research teams: - Biomechanics and Orthopaedics - Biomechanics and Ergonomics - Impact biomechanics - Impact of structures
