eurobits e.V. is a registered, non-profit association since 1999. One of our primary goals is the transfer of knowledge in the field of IT-security between science and economy - in the Ruhr Area and beyond. Among our members are leading scientific and educational institutions as well as established companies and innovative start-ups. This unique European groupo of experts constantly works at expanding its international networks with other IT-security clusters among Europe. Unique about eurobits is its close cooperation between research and practical application: Central goals of the association are cooperations with top-level scientists at the several universities in the area, the education and advanced training of future IT-security experts, the transfer of scientific research into practical projects, the support of IT-security start-ups as well as global players and an overall better visibility of the strong IT-security infrastructure in the Ruhr-Area. Currently eurobits has more than 20 members, each of which contribute their broad, long-year expertise of various IT-security topics. The association works as a central and competent point of contact for all IT-security-related topics and is able to answer questions about technological, scientific or economical topics in this field.
