The Nationals WA is an independent political party dedicated to representing the interests of people living in regional Western Australia. We currently have 9 Members of State Parliament, all of whom sit independently of both major political parties. Royalties for Regions channels the equivalent to 25% of mining and onshore petroleum royalties generated each year to regional areas in the State Budget. Through this agreement, Royalties for Regions seeks to address the inequalities that exist between country and city residents and works to increase the livability and investment opportunities in regional WA. The Royalties for Regions portfolio boasts initiatives such as the Country Aged Pension Fuel Card, Ord-East Kimberley Expansion, Pilbara Cities, Growing our South, Mid West Investment Plan, Gascoyne Revitalisation Plan and the Southern Inland Health Initiative, not to mention a multitude of community-based and region-building funding programs. The Nationals WA are committed to making regional WA a better place to live, work and invest by continuing to provide vital resources to foster sustainable communities.
